March 29, 2007: Windows Security Advisory

Microsoft has just released a security advisory
for Windows users. Malicious animated cursor (.ANI) files can affect Windows 2000 and higher (although Windows 95, 98, and ME are not listed, it is
not known whether such versions are vulnerable), causing execution of arbitrary code.
Viewing a malicious webpage or e-mail could trigger this vulnerability.

March 21, 2007: Mozilla Firefox Updates

The Mozilla Corporation has released updates to the Mozilla Firefox web browser.
Versions 1.5.0.11 and 2.0.0.3 are now available to address security fixes. Firefox users should automatically receive the updates within the next
few days; otherwise use the "Help" - "Check for Updates" feature in the browser.

March 8, 2007: Daylight Saving Time is Changing
|
The new Daylight Saving Time extension in the US goes into effect this weekend. Is your computer ready?
If you're running
Windows Vista, or Windows 2000 / XP / 2003 with Automatic Updates turned on, your computer should update its clock correctly. If not, Microsoft has
released a Daylight Saving Time Help and Support Center
with information about updates. Note that Microsoft is not providing updates to Windows ME and earlier.
The Calendaring and Scheduling Consortium has released a page on
Daylight Saving Time Material.
Included are links and information for other operating systems, including links to an UNOFFICIAL patch for Windows 98 users.
